It is our pleasure to inform you that the ECHA Accreditation Committee completed its work and accredited the first European Talent Centres. The Committee received 28 high quality applications from 19 countries. Successful applications needed a score higher than the threshold of 70% of the maximum score. Scores were defined as shown in the scoring sheet published at the time of the call.
In the current first round the following 14 applicants from 13 countries have been accredited as European Talent Centres:

We would like to encourage those applicants, whose applications were not selected in this very first round to participate in the European Talent Support Network by cooperating with the Centres listed above, as well as with other institutions supporting talented young Europeans. We will publish the calls to become a European Talent Point accredited by the Centres listed above during the fall 2015. Moreover, there will be a second round of applications for being a European Talent Centre published on this web-site in early 2016. We highly encourage all European organizations having an established background of supporting talented young people to apply to become either a European Talent Point or European Talent Centre.
The accreditation certificate of the European Talent Centres will be presented at a ceremony at the European Parliament building in Brussels at the end of September. At the same time the existing Centres will have their first discussion on the further development of the European Talent Support Network. We will publish a detailed account on both events.
In September a special issue of ECHA News will be published. A longer version of ECHA News will introduce the European Talent Centres on the ECHA website (www.echa.info), and a shorter pdf version will also be available containing the basic data of the European Talent Centres and their ideas how to contribute to the forming European Talent support Network.
We congratulate to the fist European Talent Centres, as well as all current and future participants of the European Talent Support Network, and wish all of us very successful start of this new, high level cooperation in supporting young Europeans having high ability!
