Petnica Science Center is one of the biggest and oldest independent non-profit organization for extracurricular science education in Serbia, Europe. Since 1982, Petnica has organized more than 2,500 programs (seminars, workshops, research camps) for nearly 50,000 students and science teachers in 15 disciplines of science, technology and humanities.
Petnica International Summer School is ideal for those who are interested in studying different subject areas. The aim of the program is to enable young scientists to practice scientific research by working on their own research projects and communicate their results and ideas.
Utrecht Summer School has offered a wide range of courses including culture, art, language, business and science in 2014. The number of participants has been growing for decades.
Utrecht Summer School started in 1987, with one course: Dutch Culture and Society. Nowadays, the programme offers a broad selection of over 170 academic courses in virtually all disciplines organised by Utrecht University, HU University of Applied Sciences and HKU University of the Arts.
Finland offers a special camping opportunity for young researchers supported by institutions of science as well as the public sector. 59 enthusiastic teenagers from all over the world were welcomed to Finland for an intensive week with science, research, technology and fun.
Lilli Lehmann founded the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in 1916. At the beginning only private voice lessons were offered within the premises of the Mozarteum. In 1925 Willy Schweyda gave the first violin class. Classes in piano, composition, conducting and opera were added in 1929 thanks to the sponsorship of American Julian Freedman.
In Lancaster, the organizers of the summer school are committed to widening participation and encouraging students from all different backgrounds to consider Higher Education. Each year over 6,000 students are welcome from schools and colleges across the UK to the campus.
The 14th International ECHA conference will take place in the beautiful city of Ljubljana this year from 17th to 20th September.
The theme of the conference is Re: thinking giftedness: Giftedness in the Digital Age.Through an examination of current theory, research and practice the conference will explore the possibilities and challenges that the “digital age” offers to the education of the gifted across the lifespan.
The 2014 General Assembly of ECHA agreed that ECHA supports, regulates and guides the formation of a European Talent Support Network. A 'European Talent Support Activity Map' listing several organizations and individuals active in supporting talent young people can be found HERE. Aims and details of the European Talent Support Network can be found in the document downloadable from HERE. European Talent Centres will form the hubs of this Network, while European Talent Points will be its nodes. European Talent Points will be accredited by European Talent Centres during 2015. The General Assembly elected an Accreditation Committee to accredit European Talent Centres. The first call for the accreditation of European Talent Centres is expected by the end of 2014, and will be published on this web-site. The first European Talent Points will be accredited by European Talent Centres during 2015.
Encouraging the Gifted in the context of Migration and Intercultural Exchange

Given the long tradition of education and migration in many European countries, the topics of multiculturalism and intercultural exchange are key priorities on the educational agenda, as well as being natural prerequisites for peaceful co-existence in the 21st century. Giftedness and high potential in a multicultural society is also a topic most relevant and of high interest all over Europe.
